چکیده

The ability to carry over models and testbenches from one level of abstraction to another is becoming increasingly important to the design and verification of system designs. This capability delivers the benefits of reuse with a scalable methodology. It therefore enables engineering teams to leverage the particular strengths of different modeling domains. For example, take the behavioral testbenches or system-reference models that are developed in a high-level verification language (HVL) [1,2,4]. They can be reused to verify the designunder-test (DUT) hardware models described in a hardware description language (HDL). But an intermediate modeling level is required to bridge these two levels of abstraction.

Constructing Property-Oriented Models for Verification

This paper advocates a general approach to formal verification by constructing property-oriented models. We instantiate the approach using timing properties, and construct a heterogeneous untimed model in which time is abstracted away, so that we can verify timing properties in an untimed framework. The correctness of property-oriented model construction is ensured by the conformance of semanti...

A hybrid approach for database intrusion detection at transaction and inter-transaction levels

Nowadays, information plays an important role in organizations. Sensitive information is often stored in databases. Traditional mechanisms such as encryption, access control, and authentication cannot provide a high level of confidence. Therefore, the existence of Intrusion Detection Systems in databases is necessary. In this paper, we propose an intrusion detection system for detecting attacks...

Modelling Alternatives for Cycle Approximate Bus TLMs

Transaction level models (TLMs) can be constructed at different levels of abstraction, denoted as untimed (UT), cycle-approximate (CX), and cycle accurate (CA) in this paper. The choice of a level has an impact on simulation accuracy and performance and makes a level suitable for specific use cases, e.g. virtual prototyping, architectural exploration, and verification. Whereas the untimed and c...

A Bilevel Scheduling Approach for Modeling Energy Transaction of Virtual Power Plants in Distribution Networks

By increasing the use of distributed generation (DG) in the distribution network operation, an entity called virtual power plant (VPP) has been introduced to control, dispatch and aggregate the generation of DGs, enabling them to participate either in the electricity market or the distribution network operation. The participation of VPPs in the electricity market has made challenges to fairly a...

Timeout Order Abstraction for Time-Parametric Verification of Loosely Synchronized Real-Time Distributed Systems

We present timeout order abstraction (TO-abstraction), a technique to systematically abstract a given loosely synchronized real-time distributed system (LSRTDS) into an untimed model. We define the subclass of LSRTDS’s that we can apply TO-abstraction using a syntax template that represents a restriction to Tempo, the primary modeling language of TIOA [7]. The untimed model obtained from the ab...
